Chasing my Dream of
Becoming a Hotel Manager

Life at BELA Academy

When I first arrived at BELA Academy, adjusting was challenging. Coming from a different homestay, I was worried about fitting in and keeping up with my studies. Thankfully, with the guidance and support of my teachers and classmates, I successfully transitioned into 11th grade.

Initially, I spent many days feeling anxious and overwhelmed, but regular consultations with my teachers helped me regain confidence. Slowly, I began dreaming new dreams and working hard to excel academically. My time at BELA wasn’t just about studying—I spent nights talking with friends, sharing experiences, and pursuing hobbies freely. The supportive and encouraging environment made learning enjoyable rather than stressful.

Living away from my parents and friends was tough and lonely at first. Yet, the warmth and care from everyone at BELA, especially Arthur and Misha, who became like second parents to me, turned those difficult moments into cherished memories. Two and a half years later, I’m grateful for the growth, experiences, and friendships that shaped my journey here.

Philippine High School Life
and Academic Achievements

Before BELA, I attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Montessori in Baguio, a Catholic school with a rigorous curriculum. As a foreign student, I initially struggled to keep up with top-performing local students. Learning Tagalog helped me participate fully in class, while the kindness and support of my classmates made adjusting much easier.

In 11th grade, I worked hard to catch up, often staying late for presentations and switching departments to find my best fit. By 12th grade, I had gained enough confidence and free time to focus on improving my grades and contributing meaningfully to group projects. By the final semester, I achieved 7th place in my class and consistently earned the Honor Award, culminating in monthly recognition during graduation.

Admission to
Prestigious Swiss Universities

At BELA, I discovered my passion for hotel management, combining my love for travel and languages. My teachers recommended BHMS (Business and Hotel Management School, Switzerland), a prestigious institution offering an immersive education combining academics, internships, and cultural experiences.

Starting in 12th grade, I began intensive IELTS preparation, balancing this alongside my regular studies. With the support of my teachers, I achieved a 5.5 IELTS score (BHMS requires 5.0), applied successfully, and completed all necessary visa preparations.

Studying at BHMS is a unique experience: six months living in dormitories and six months working as an intern at hotels, covering living expenses while gaining practical industry experience. The curriculum encourages pursuing hobbies like sports, and I also took semester-long courses in German and French, enriching my cultural and language skills.

Although challenging, my time at BHMS allows me to grow academically and personally while traveling across Europe. I am deeply thankful to my BELA teachers for their unwavering support, which made this opportunity possible. Even in Switzerland, I hope to inspire and assist others to pursue similar dreams.

To the Director, Vice Director, and all my teachers—thank you for guiding me every step of the way.

"With support, courage, and determination, every challenge becomes a stepping stone to your dreams."
