Is BELA accredited or officially recognized?

BELA E4U Academy is a government-accredited and TESDA-recognized English language institute that operates with valid documents. The academy is dedicated to helping students develop their English communication skills for academic, professional, and global opportunities. BELA also collaborates with various educational institutions, including Westfields International School, and Noblesse International School, to provide quality English education and meaningful learning opportunities.

BELA E4U Academy has been providing English education since 2006. Originally established in Baguio, BELA relocated in Clark last 2018 and has continued to welcome students from around the world in its current location.

BELA welcomes students from various countries, including South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, China, Vietnam, and countries in the Middle East. As an ESL academy, BELA continues to welcome students from around the world, providing a multicultural learning environment where students can practice English and interact with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Yes, BELA welcomes students of all English proficiency levels, including beginners. Our programs are designed to help students gradually develop and improve their English skills through structured lessons, personalized support, and practical communication activities.

Many of our students begin their journey with limited English proficiency. Through consistent learning and guidance from our teachers, they gradually build the confidence to communicate in English, participate in discussions, and even deliver speeches by the end of their program.

We accept students of all age groups, although certain age restrictions apply depending on the program.

For the Family Camp, BELA accepts students as young as 3 years old. However, parents with very young children are advised to stay and look after their kids as these children may need their parents’ assistance or support.

For the Junior Camp, the youngest students accepted are those in Grade 3.

For the Adult Camp, the accepted age range is 16 and above.

How much can my English improve at BELA?

English improvement depends on the student’s current proficiency level, chosen course, study duration, and level of dedication. With intensive training and consistent practice, students can make significant progress in a relatively short period of time.

BELA has helped students achieve IELTS scores ranging from 6.0 to 8.5 and TOEIC scores ranging from 700 to 900 and above.

It depends on the availability, if its applicable students can extend their chosen programs if they wish to continue improving their English skills. They may also continue their studies online since BELA also offer online classes. The extension period and program can be adjusted based on the student’s learning needs, goals, and preferred course.

What English programs does BELA offer?

BELA offers Junior Camp program, Adult Camp program, Family Camp program, Online Class program, International School Preparation program, and Study Abroad preparation program. Students/Parents can pick choose their own courses under each program.

Students will first take a level test to assess their English proficiency. If a student’s score is below the recommended level for a PTE, IELTS, TOEIC, or other advanced course, they will temporarily take an ESL course until they reach the required level for their desired program. Course fees will be adjusted according to the program the student takes.

No, parent classes are optional. However, parents with very young children are advised to stay on campus during class hours in case their children need their attention or assistance.

What classes are offered in BELA?

BELA offers group classes, one-on-one classes, and online classes.

Group classes include Debate Classes and CNN Classes, where students watch or discuss current news and express their opinions on various topics.

One-on-one classes generally focus on core English skills, including listening, speaking, writing, grammar, and reading, depending on the student’s chosen course and learning objectives.

They also take daily vocabulary tests, and every Friday, they take a test covering mixed vocabulary from the previous week. Students who fail the test are required to retake it.

The English Level Test is administered on the student’s first day to assess their English proficiency level. The results are used to determine the appropriate books and courses for the student and to confirm whether they meet the required level for the course they initially registered for.

Yes, teachers provide initial, weekly, monthly, and final feedback.

Initial feedback is provided after students take the level test to determine the most appropriate book and learning materials for their English level.

Weekly reports are submitted to parents to provide an update on their children’s progress and discuss their performance and areas for improvement.

Monthly feedback is given to evaluate and compare the students’ progress and measure how much they have improved over the course of the month.

Final feedback is provided at graduation to compare the students’ overall progress with their initial assessment and highlight the improvements they have made throughout the program.

Students are regularly evaluated through weekly tests organized by their teachers for each subject they are taking. These assessments are designed to measure students’ understanding of the lessons covered during the week and identify areas where they may need additional support or practice. The results also help teachers monitor students’ progress and adjust their lessons and teaching strategies according to each student’s learning needs.

Yes, BELA provides students with hardcopy certificates upon completion of their program. These certificates are presented during the students’ graduation ceremony as official recognition of their participation and completion of the course. The certificate serves as a record of the student’s learning experience and achievement at BELA.

BELA Teachers FAQ

What qualifications do BELA teachers have?

Approximately 80–90% of BELA’s teachers are Licensed Professional Teachers who have passed the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) of the Philippines. They also hold TEFL certifications, EFSET certificates, and English International Test Certificates. In addition, our teachers have English proficiency at the C1 level or higher.

Teachers are personally assessed and trained by the Head Teacher in reading, speaking, grammar, listening, and writing. During the lean season, teachers are mandated to participate in daily training to further develop and maintain their teaching skills. They are also required to obtain various certifications to enhance their professional qualifications and demonstrate their competence in English language teaching.

No. However, students can ask their teachers for clarification or additional assistance after class. 

Accommodation FAQ

Does BELA provide accommodation?

Yes, BELA mainly offers on-campus accommodation for its students. We have dormitories for families, Junior Camp students, and adults. Rooms are shared with fellow campers, except for families, who are provided with their own private rooms. Typically, up to four people can stay in one room, and all rooms are approximately the same size.

Meals are prepared with the preferences and tastes of international students in mind. We make sure that every meal suits diverse nationalities. Download our brochures here for more information.

Cleaning and laundry services are provided to students as part of the accommodation services, as long as the student or parent gives permission. Housekeeping staff clean the rooms and common areas according to a designated schedule, while laundry services are also provided on scheduled days. These services help students maintain clean and comfortable living conditions throughout their stay while respecting their privacy and preferences.

Safety & Student Support FAQ

How does BELA ensure student safety?

BELA E4U Academy strictly follows and enforces its rules and regulations to ensure a safe and orderly learning environment. Before classes begin, students attend an orientation where the school’s rules, regulations, and important policies are explained. Important policies and reminders are also displayed throughout the campus through signs and posters. For additional security, the entire campus is monitored by working CCTV cameras, and a security guard is present on-site. BELA prioritizes the safety, security, and well-being of every student.

Yes, students are supervised throughout their stay. BELA has stay-in teachers and staff members whom students can contact whenever they need assistance. The school owners are also present in the education building and are available to provide support or assistance when needed.

Yes, students particularly students under family and adult program are allowed to leave the school campus as long as they attend all of their scheduled classes. However, minor students (17 years old below) are required to present a school gate pass approved by the office or authorized personnel only before going out from the campus. They are also mandated to come back before 10PM (curfew). 

Yes, the school strictly handle cases involving student behavior and report incidents to parents when necessary. Different disciplinary measures are applied depending on the severity and nature of the offense. Our policy guidelines provide more detailed information about the school’s rules, regulations, and disciplinary procedures.

Admission & Requirements FAQ

How do I apply to BELA?

BELA has a step-by-step procedure to guide students and parents through the inquiry and enrollment process. They can also contact us directly by sending an email through the inquiry form for further questions or assistance. Our staff will be happy to provide the necessary information regarding courses, schedules, fees, and other concerns.

For admission, students are required to submit only their passport and a photocopy of their passport. A visa may also be required, depending on the student’s country of origin and applicable entry requirements. 

For students ages 16 and 17 years old, who will take adult program, are required to have a signed consent from their parents or guardian. This consent is given/sent before their arrival here in the Philippines. 

SSP stands for Student Study Permit. It is a legal permit attached to a tourist visa that allows foreign nationals to study short-term courses in the Philippines. The SSP is valid for up to six months.

In addition to the SSP, an ACR I-CARD (Alien Certificate of Registration Identity Card) may also be required for foreign nationals on a tourist visa who stay in the Philippines for 59 days or longer. It serves as legal proof of registration and identity while staying in the Philippines.

Yes. If you choose to study directly at BELA, our staff can assist with and process the necessary visa requirements on your behalf.

Students and parents can apply at any time throughout the year. Most students make their reservations at least six months before their planned arrival. BELA accepts advance bookings on a first-come, first-served basis.

How much does it cost to study at BELA?

The total cost depends on the student’s chosen program, course, accommodation, required documents, and learning materials, including books. Fees may vary depending on the length and type of program selected. Please refer to our brochures for detailed pricing information or contact us directly for a personalized quotation.

Yes, airport pick-up and drop-off services are available and can be arranged upon request. These services are optional, so students or parents must make a request in advance if they would like to avail them. Please contact BELA directly to arrange the service and confirm the applicable details.
